About “On the Couch”

By Bryan Greene.

Bryan Greene is a storyteller and artist who believes that the most powerful narratives are born from truth—even when that truth is messy, vulnerable, or uncomfortable. His graphic novel, On the Couch, explores the deeply human process of psychotherapy, weaving together semi-biographical stories that blur the line between memory and imagination.

Drawing from his own lived experiences, Bryan uses the graphic novel form as a mirror—capturing the rawness of personal struggle, the humor found in self-discovery, and the fragile beauty of healing. Each chapter unfolds like a therapy session: sometimes painful, sometimes cathartic, but always leading toward greater understanding.

On the Couch is not just a story about mental health—it is a conversation between past and present, self and other, patient and therapist. Bryan invites readers to sit beside him in the chair, reflect on their own journeys, and discover that the act of storytelling itself can be a form of therapy.

When he isn’t writing or sketching, Bryan continues to explore how art can serve as both confession and connection. His work embraces the idea that vulnerability is strength, and that every story—no matter how fractured—deserves to be told.
